Quebec dentists begin split from public health care system

Quebec’s association of dental surgeons on Thursday officially filed the paperwork that will see 2,000 of its members withdraw from the province’s public health care system.
The notices were delivered to the offices of the Régie de l’assurance-maladie du Québec (RAMQ) and Premier Philippe Couillard. The withdrawal will not take effect for another 30 days.
