Quebec court rules SNC-Lavalin must pay damages to fired executive
Quebec’s court of appeals has arrived at opposing conclusions in cases that pitted SNC-Lavalin (TSX: SNC) against former executives who said they had been fired without providing notice.
In a ruling issued Thursday, the court concluded that the engineering firm had to pay eight months of salary to Michel Émond, but reversed an earlier ruling in favour of Michel Labbé, who had sought compensation equivalent to nine months of salary.
