Quebec considers best way to honour Lise Payette, without religion

The provincial government is planning a final farewell to Lise Payette, the former cabinet minister who died on Wednesday, on a level of a state funeral, even if it won’t involve a religious ceremony.
Christine St-Pierre, Quebec’s international relations minister and the person responsible for such protocols, confirmed on Saturday she is in discussions with the family of the former Parti Québécois cabinet minister, journalist and author who died at the age of 87.
