Quebec comedians plan ethically sound festival to rival Just for Laughs

As uncertainty and controversy continue to swirl around the Just for Laughs comedy festival, a group of 50 Quebec comedians announced on Tuesday their intention to form their own comedy showcase — one based on “ethical management, social responsibility and equal pay.”
In a statement, comedian Martin Petit noted that the decision to create the Festival du rire de Montréal followed an outcry on social media urging the comedians to form their own fest. And the statement ack
