Québec solidaire members approve merger with Option nationale

Québec solidaire members voted Saturday to merge with the Option nationale party.
After a closed-door debate, 80 per cent of delegates at Québec solidaire’s convention in Longueuil approved the merger.
Party co-spokesperson Manon Massé welcomed members of the hardline separatist party to the QS fold.
“It’s an important step in the sovereignty movement in Quebec,” Massé said, adding it was “a great day.”
