Proposal for $2.3B solar-panel plant moves ahead; site is in question

The city of Montreal and the U.K.-based high-tech company Solargise will move forward on a proposed $2.3-billion solar-panel plant, according to a statement released Friday, with no indication of what that means for the contested Anjou golf course on which the plant was slated to be built.
“Representatives from Solargise and the city of Montreal have committed to working together to achieve the various phases of the project,” the statement says, “and believe they are close to f
