Power restored after substation problem cuts off 10,000 Montrealers

Power is back for the approximately 10,000 Montreal customers in the Outremont area who were affected by an equipment breakdown Tuesday morning.
The breakdown occurred at the Beaumont substation, which is located in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough, Hydro-Québec spokesperson Jean-Philippe Rousseau said.
He said that a crew was successful at restoring power for the affected customers but the root cause is still under investigation.
