Power outage hits downtown Montreal on Friday afternoon

Around 9,000 Hydro-Québec customers in downtown Montreal are without power after a problem at the Dorchester transformer station on Friday afternoon.
Montreal City Hall and the Palais de justice were among the buildings affected.
Hydro-Québec said crews were already on the scene, attempting to determine the cause of the problem.
Montreal police said they were aware of the outage and were directing traffic at affected intersections as rush hour began.
