Power being restored after strong winds cause outages across Quebec
Stong winds caused many power outages in Quebec Saturday night and Sunday morning.
As of 8:00 a.m. Sunday, nearly 14,000 Hydro-Québec customers were still without electricity. The Montreal area was hardest hit, with more than 4,100 households lacking power at 8 a.m.
By 2:20 p.m. power had still not been restored to 2,399 households across Quebec, of which 101 were in Montreal..
Many of the power outages were caused by branches falling on electrical lines.
