Poll on baseball's return to Montreal tosses up a curve ball

In what seems a clear message to politicians and promoters, a Léger poll conducted for Le Devoir suggests that while 58 per cent of Quebecers would welcome the return of Major League Baseball to Montreal, the same proportion are dead set against any level of government funding that return with public money.
Even among those who told pollsters they favour the return of baseball, the appetite for using tax money is razor thin — 51 per cent.
