Police cruiser hits child in Longueuil

A police patrol car in Longueuil responding to an emergency call at about 1:30 p.m. on Monday struck a six-year-old boy crossing Goyette St.
The child was treated in a hospital for minor injuries; police said he would be kept for observation until evening as a precaution.
The officers involved were treated in a hospital for shock and released.
The Service de police de l’agglomération de Longueuil said investigators were working to determine the precise circumstances of the incident.
