Plateau music venue Divan Orange to shut next spring

Saying it is beset with financial pressures, Divan Orange — the St-Laurent Blvd. music venue that estimates it has hosted 10,000 acts over its 13 years — has announced it intends to close its doors in the spring of 2018.
In a Facebook post Sunday night, organizers said their “financial situation is untenable” and they are unable to continue to operate under “such precarious conditions.”
