Pilot project limiting Mount Royal traffic will start June 1, city says

The city of Montreal will begin a controversial plan to limit traffic on Mount Royal on June 1, Mayor Valérie Plante announced Wednesday.
The pilot project to stop through traffic on Remembrance Rd./Camillien-Houde Way will run until Oct. 31.
Plante says the pilot project is about “opening up Mount Royal” and she hopes all Montrealers give it a chance. She said the city will listen to concerns from the public.
