Patients at Hôtel-Dieu make the move to the CHUM
Fifty patients hospitalized at Hôtel-Dieu Hospital were moved Sunday morning to the new CHUM, as the superhospital continues to ramp up its services. One patient was transferred to another hospital closer to home.
Patients were transferred by ambulance and Medicar buses during the three-hour move to the new hospital on St-Denis St. and Viger Ave.
A patient was transferred every three minutes and it took about 20-22 minutes to move patients from bed to bed, a CHUM spokesperson said.
