Opinion: The true, hidden face of Bill 62
Let’s imagine that one day, colouring one’s hair purple is banned. It would seem arbitrary and ridiculous, especially considering how few fancy their hair purple. Bill 62, Quebec’s religious neutrality law that came into effect Oct. 18 and places restrictions on the face veil that some Muslim women wear, is similar in that it targets a very small group who choose to be different.
