Opinion: Quebec's optometrists deserve to be paid fairly

When I was seven years old, my optometrist, who became my mentor, examined my eyes and gave me clear vision. On that day, and because of that, I decided I wanted to be an optometrist. That was 64 years ago.
Today, after 47 years of practice in the profession I love and live for, I am sad to have concluded I have to remove myself from Quebec’s public health system. I would never have thought that it would come to this.
When I graduated in 1971 from the École d’optométrie
