Opinion: Press pause on 'gaming disorder' diagnosis

The recent announcement that the World Health Organization is in the process of updating the International Classification of Diseases to add “gaming disorder” is giving parents (and the merely paternalistic) one more thing to worry about.
Symptoms include loss of control over video gaming habits; prioritization of gaming over other activities; and the continuation of gaming despite clear negative consequences.
