Opinion: It's essential to stop hate in its tracks

On Jan. 29, 2017, Alexandre Bissonnette shot to death six Canadian Muslims in the Islamic Cultural Centre in Quebec City. Nineteen others were wounded, many seriously.  
During the first part of Bissonnette’s sentencing hearing last month, the Crown entered as evidence the websites frequented by Bissonnette in the period prior to his attack. A large number of them were neo-Nazi and white supremacist, sharing one common denominator: Islamophobia.
