One dead, one injured in three-car crash in Granby

A three-vehicle crash in Granby left one person dead and another injured Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred near the Granby Autodrome on Cowie St. near René Rd.
First responders had difficulty freeing one of the drivers from his vehicle, which had collided head-on with another car. He was seriously injured and died after being taken to hospital.
Another motorist was slightly injured in the accident, the cause of which remains under investigation.
