Normandeau trial to continue after judge rejects Jordan request

The legal delays in a trial involving former Quebec deputy-premier Nathalie Normandeau are reasonable, a Quebec Court judge ruled on Monday, rejecting an attempt by the defence to stop the proceeding on the grounds of the Jordan decision, a Supreme Court ruling that sets time limits on trials.
