More than 2,600 library books returned in Montreal late-fee amnesty, which continues until June 22
Montreal libraries have recovered more than four times the number of books they expected to collect after declaring a temporary late-fee amnesty.
The three-week amnesty continues until June 22.
The city’s 45-library network had expected to recover 600 books. So far, 2,626 have been collected, city spokesperson Linda Boutin told the Montreal Gazette on Monday.
