Monument honouring Jolène Riendeau ensures her memory will live on despite tragic death
A new monument under the Champlain Bridge, honouring the life of Jolène Riendeau, marks the spot where the 10-year-old girl's remains were found. Riendeau disappeared from Montreal’s Pointe-Saint-Charles neighbourhood in 1999 and was found 12 years later, with her death being investigated as a homicide. Police have yet to solve the case.
