Montreal's light-rail project to break ground in April, start rolling in 2021
Construction of a new commuter rail project will begin in April, the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec announced Thursday.
The project, now valued at $6.3 billion will be up and running, at least in part, by the summer of 2021. It will be built with 65 per cent local content, including companies headquartered in Montreal, like SNC-Lavalin, which is part of the consortia to build both the rail infrastructure and the trains.
