Montreal-Toronto Via Rail train involved in fatal collision

One person died Monday evening after being struck near Cornwall, Ont., by Via Rail Train 669 from Montreal to Toronto.
“669 was involved in an incident with a trespasser,” said ViaRail spokesperson Mariam Diaby. “It’s a confirmed fatality.”
Passengers aboard the train had reported being told that they would be delayed for around two hours in connection with a police investigation.
