Montreal launches long-term revitalization plan for Chinatown, including daily cleanup brigade

Earlier this year, the City of Montreal bought a piece of vacant land at the corner of St-Laurent and René-Lévesque boulevards: the gateway to Chinatown. The Alliance for Chinatown, a new group set up by the city, will meet this month to discuss the revitalization plan, which includes addressing homelessness and cleanliness issues in the area.
