Montreal grinds yesterday's glass into tomorrow's infrastructure

The city of Montreal has announced that as part of its ongoing effort to increase sustainable development, it has begun to use powdered glass as an ingredient in the concrete used in the construction of sidewalks.
The new recipe follows a collaboration with the Université de Sherbrooke that saw the durability and efficiency of sidewalks using the recycled ingredient tested repeatedly before its usefulness was confirmed.
