Montreal elections: Coderre, Plante to debate in English Oct. 23

Incumbent mayor Denis Coderre and challenger Valérie Plante of Projet Montréal will face off in the only English-language debate of the municipal election campaign Oct. 23.
The debate, presented by the Montreal Gazette, CTV Montreal and CJAD 800, will take place at Oscar Peterson Hall on the Loyola Campus of Concordia University at 7 p.m. The sole French-language mayoral debate, hosted by the Chambre de commerce du Montréal métropolitain, takes place on Oct. 19.
