Montreal diving duo, synchronized swimmer finish fifth at world championships

Quebecers Meaghan Benfeito and Nathan Zsombor-Murray finished in fifth place in the 10 metre mixed synchronized diving event on Saturday at the FINA World Championships in Budapest.
Benfeito, from Laval, and Zsombor-Murray, from Pointe-Claire, earned a cumulative 307.80 for their five dives.
The 14-year-old Zsombor-Murray and the 28-year-old Benfeito began diving together recently and did not expect to place in the top five teams in the world.
