Montreal cancels contract to put up and dismantle Formula E racetrack

The city is terminating a contract with a road-marking company to set up and dismantle the track for the Formula E race.
In December, Mayor Valérie Plante said the city would no longer host the electric-car race, held last July, calling the event a financial fiasco.
Since the event has been cancelled, the executive committee voted Wednesday to terminate the rest of its contact with Techline, based in Repentigny, to set up and take down the racetrack.
