Montreal Canadiens place forward Martin Reway on waivers

The Montreal Canadiens have put forward Martin Reway on waivers with a mutual agreement to terminate his contract after he clears that process.
Reway announced his departure from the Habs’ AHL affiliate, the Laval Rocket, on Friday in order to consider his future in professional hockey. 
The 22-year-old Slovak tried to return to the game this year after missing the entire 2016-17 season with a heart condition that set back his development as a hot prospect.
