Monarch Blitz taps public to help inventory, protect butterfly breeding grounds

The Montreal Space for Life project is asking for your help in tracking monarch butterflies, which have seen a steady population decline in recent years.
Called Mission Monarch Blitz, the project is calling on citizens from Canada, the United States and Mexico to document monarch breeding sites. 
The blitz will be held between July 29 and Aug. 6, and organizers are asking people to find milkweed plants, check for monarch caterpillars on the plants and report their observations on the Missio
