Memorial service for Montreal boxing ref Marlon Wright set for July 16

A memorial service will be held on Sunday for Marlon B. Wright, a former welterweight fighter who went on to become one of Canada’s top boxing referees and officiated title bouts around the world. Wright, who was 51, died on July 6. 
A remembrance for Wright will take place on Sunday, July 16, from noon to 9 p.m. at Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd., in Montreal, with a ceremony beginning at 7 p.m.
