Marlies use big second period to get past Rocket, win fourth in a row

LAVAL — Jeremy Bracco had one of four Toronto goals in the second period and added an assist as the Marlies beat the Laval Rocket 5-2 on Saturday for their fourth straight win in American Hockey League action.
Andreas Johnsson, Kasperi Kapanen and Frederik Gauthier also found the back of the net in the second with Ben Smith scoring an empty netter in the third for Toronto (20-5-0), the Maple Leafs’ AHL affiliate. Travis Dermott and Kerby Rychel tacked on two assists apiece.
