Marchers to hike 15 km on Sunday for $15 minimum wage
The united campaign for a $15 minimum wage is organizing a 15-kilometre march on Sunday, Oct. 15.
Among those joining the march to raise awareness and the minimum wage in Quebec — following in the footsteps of Ontario, Alberta and B.C. — are Québec solidaire MNAs Amir Khadir and Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois.
The minimum wage in Quebec is currently $11.25.
The march will leave Lionel-Groulx métro at 10 a.m. to arrive at Jarry Park at 2:30 p.m., with stops at Emilie-Gamelin Park
