Marc Richardson: #SkipTheStraw, sure, but what about the rest?

I’ve taken to doing something that has left me veritably bamboozled. In the last few weeks I’ve made a concerted effort to renounce plastic drinking straws. I don’t know why, but somehow #SkipTheStraw worked on the person I thought least likely: me.
I’ve never been one for the hashtag-friendly “micro actions can make a macro difference” campaigns. Was turning off a light in one room of one house for one hour really going to stop global warming? Doubtful.
