Man dies after downtown Montreal stabbing

A 23-year-old man died in hospital Wednesday morning following a stabbing in downtown Montreal. 
According to Montreal police, the man was stabbed during an altercation around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Ste-Catherine W. and Mackay Sts. 
It is the ninth homicide in Montreal in 2017.
Five men were arrested after the stabbing, but three of them were released by police late Wednesday morning.
