Man barricades himself inside Pointe-Claire home

Montreal police have sealed off a section of a Pointe-Claire neighbourhood after receiving a 911 call from a person apparently barricaded in his residence.
The perimeter extends through Springdale, Aurora, Donegani and Eldorado Aves. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Police say their operation began a little after 8:30 a.m. after they received the call from the individual, who they say is alone in the house. Officers are trying to convince the individual to leave his home.
