Majority stake in Just for Laughs to be bought by Bell/Evenko: sources

The Just for Laughs festival could soon be back in majority local hands.
Bell and Evenko have partnered to purchase 51 per cent of the fest from U.S.-owned ICM Partners and Canadian comic Howie Mandel, according to industry sources as well as a report in La Presse.
Sources say nothing is official, as final contracts have yet to be signed, but an announcement should be imminent.
