Major storm could hit Montreal for Christmas; Ottawa clears Claus flight plan
A major storm is on its way, but with four days to go, figuring out where it will land is an inexact science.
The Dec. 25 storm could begin in eastern Quebec or the Maritimes, or it could start in the Montreal or Eastern Townships regions, says Jean-Philippe Bégin of Environment Canada. Forecasting becomes more accurate within 48 hours of an event, and “we are out of that range,” Bégin says.
