Learn to camp today near Lachine Canal

Ever wanted to try camping but not sure how to get started?
Parks Canada is holding a free, one-day, open-air event today in the Jardin des Écluses, just west of the Old Port, to teach camping basics.
It’s located beside the Lachine Canal, near Locks No. 1 and 2, near the Mill St. Bridge. Look for the Parks Canada kiosk at the corner of de la Commune and McGill Sts.
“It’s an initiation to camping,” said Isabelle Savoie, visitor experience manager with Parks Canada.
