Lawsuit against Applebaum to go to trial in 2019

One of the lawsuits the city of Montreal launched to recover money from former politicians is expected to see the inside of a courtroom in 2019. Another one is on hold.
Three dates have been scheduled in November 2019 to hear the city’s lawsuit against former Montreal mayor Michael Applebaum, which seeks to recover $267,923 in severance pay he received after he resigned from office a day after his arrest on corruption charges in 2013.
