Lakeshore ER at 174 per cent capacity

If you have the flu, expect to wait a spell if you seek medical care at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Pointe-Claire.
The overcrowded emergency ward at the Lakeshore General was operating at 174 per cent capacity on Tuesday, according to the Montreal regional health board.
As of 10 a.m., there were 54 patients waiting on stretchers in the ER, well above the LGH’s functional capacity of 31.
Some of those patients had been there quite a while.
A total of 22 were waiting in the ER for 24 h
