Lafontaine Tunnel reopens after collision causes shut-down
Traffic was flowing in the northbound Lafontaine Tunnel again Monday afternoon after a collision led authorities to completely close the link between Montreal and the South Shore.
The problem started at about 1 p.m. when three large trucks collided on Highway 25 northbound, blocking two of three lanes on the approach to the Lafontaine entrance.
At 2:30 p.m., a Transport Quebec spokesperson said all three lanes were closed to allow for the trucks to be towed.
