K-9 unit tracks down Brossard armed robbery suspect

Longueuil police are crediting their canine unit with the capture of an armed robbery suspect in Brossard early Friday.
Police said they received a 9-1-1 call at about 4:20 a.m. concerning a robbery that had occurred at a service station on Marie-Victorin Blvd. A suspect armed with a knife had entered the station and grabbed some items from station’s shelves before fleeing.
Once on the scene, police deployed tracking dogs who soon found the suspect not far away from the site of the robbery
