Jacques Daoust, former Quebec Liberal cabinet minister, dies at 69
Jacques Daoust, the Verdun native and former Liberal cabinet minister who found himself at the centre of a string of political controversies in office, died Thursday, a little over a week after suffering a stroke.
He was 69 years old.
A business and banking executive executive for most of his adult life, Daoust entered politics in 2014 after heading Investment Quebec, the province’s business development agency, for the previous seven years.
