Inspection launched after catheter allegedly found in ice cream
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) confirmed Tuesday it will inspect the facilities of one of Quebec’s most popular ice cream producers after a Trois-Rivières family said they found a catheter in one of its products on Sunday.
The federal inspection of Laiterie de Coaticook follows reports Monday that an intravenous catheter — a plastic link between an intravenous line and the patient’s body — was actually bitten down on by a family member during a weekend
