Gone but not forgotten, Larry Smith still fields occasional phone calls from Montreal media members perplexed over the plight of the Alouettes, using him as a sounding board.
And whenever he’s in the city, people still stop him to ask if he will eventually return to the organization for which he played from 1972-80, then spent a dozen years as team president over two terms. Officially, Smith claimed the thought has never crossed his mind, and it’s doubtful the Wetenhall family&n
