Infection threatens Quebec's northeastern bat population

Quebec’s Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks is asking for citizens to watch out for signs of bad blood in the province’s northeastern bat population.
The ministry said there is a chance some of the flying mammals are suffering from a serious fungal infection called white-nose syndrome. The infection was recently detected in Newfoundland and Labrador and might have made its way into Basse-Côte-Nord and Anticosti Island and other regions of Quebec.
