Independent-business group doesn't want $15 minimum wage in Quebec
The Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) doesn’t want to see Quebec emulate Ontario, which will increase its minimum wage to $15 an hour next year.
On Jan. 1 in Ontario, the minimum wage went up to $14 an hour. It will increase to $15 in a year. After that, it will be adjusted to inflation. The Ontario government says this change will give families more purchasing power and help build a stronger economy.
