Increasing minimum vacation time for workers will pay off, IRIS tells Quebec government
A progressive think tank is calling for the Quebec government to increase the minimum amount of vacation time given to workers.
While Quebecers are currently entitled to at least two weeks of vacation during their first few years at a job, the Institut de recherche et d’informations socioéconomiques (IRIS) would like to see that increased to three weeks and, after five years, for the number of vacation weeks to jump from three to four.
